Deema is an M1 at MSUCHM, the president of NAAMA NextGen MSUCHM, and the co-president of NAAMA NextGen National. Deema earned her B.S. in Health Science from Oakland University. She has been heavily involved in the field of nutrition and bariatric surgery research over the last few years. Her favorite activities include working out and spending time with family/friends.
Sarah is an M1 at MSUCHM and the vice-president of NAAMA Next-Gen at the MSUCHM Chapter. She graduated from Michigan State University in Spring 2020 with her Bachelor of Science in Human Biology and a Minor in Bioethics. Sarah is interested in dermatology and enjoys spending time with friends and family!
Remonda is originally from Egypt and moved to the US in 2011. She graduated from Wayne State University with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2016 and a Master’s of Public Health in 2018. Her thesis focused on cancer among Arab American women in the Detroit area. As a medical student at MSUCHM, she is still exploring specialty interests.
Moustafa recently began his medical education at MSU CHM in August 2020. He completed his undergraduate studies in 2019 at Vanderbilt University and double-majored in Neuroscience and MHS (Medicine, Health, & Society). Previous research experience includes investigating memory and narrative identity disturbances in the schizophrenia spectrum. Current research interests include disorders of dementia, specifically neurodegeneration implicated in Alzheimer’s Disease. He is interested in neurology, general surgery, or neurosurgery. His hobbies are drawing, baking, and political commentary.
