University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences - EBoard

Rami Moussa is a second-year undergraduate student at the University of Toledo. He is a presidential scholarship recipient, studying biology with pre-med and neuroscience concentrations in addition to chemistry and psychology minors. Coming from Cleveland, Ohio, Rami is heavily involved in both the Toledo and Cleveland communities, hoping to foster relationships as a bridge between different groups and perspectives. He conducts research through UToledo and its College of Medicine, working directly with the Neurosciences Chair as well as the Department of Psychology. Beyond that, he enjoys travelling and taking on new skills and experiences, such as acting in a Hollywood movie directed by the Russo Brothers.

Mazzin Elsamaloty is a medical student at the University of Toledo. He holds a bachelor's degree in bioengineering from that same institution. Mazzin is very involved in his local community, often times spending his Saturdays volunteering at a local free clinic. When he's not studying or volunteering, he likes to explore new, local food options, play video games, and go mountain biking (weather permitting).

Karim Abul-Khoudoud is a sophomore at The University of Toledo. He is pursuing a degree in biology and minors in chemistry and business administration with a pre-medicine concentration. He is very passionate about the Arab community as he is a tutor for Student Organize for Syria and a member of the Middle Eastern and North African Association. Furthermore, as an aspiring physician, he explores the medical field through being a medical scribe, shadowing physicians, as a member of the pre-medical fraternity at UToledo (AED), and breast cancer research at The University of Toledo Medical Center. Outside of that, he spends his time studying Islam, playing soccer, fishing, building puzzles, and hanging out with friends and family.

Hanan Qaqish is a 3rd year medical student at the University of Toledo College of Medicine and Life Sciences, born and raised in Akron, Ohio. Hanan graduated from the University of Akron with a Bachelors in Biomedical Engineering and a chemistry minor. She plans on applying to neurology residency programs. She enjoys leading discussions and activities that bring together different thoughts, experiences, and perspectives. Her passions reside in both fostering and preserving the Arab community through awareness and inclusivity, as well as improving the health of her local community through public education and resource allocation.
