NAAMA NextGen was founded in 2018 by Dr. Rouba Ali-Fehmi during her NAAMA National President in 2017-2019 and found its first home at Wayne State University. Since then, NAAMA NextGen has expanded into a massive network of Arab American students aspiring to become healthcare professionals.
Start a Chapter
Foster a NAAMA NextGen community at your academic institution!
Contact the NAAMA NextGen National Board through the form on the right to obtain approval to start a chapter.
Once you receive approval from the NAAMA NextGen Co-Presidents you can move forward with forming your chapter!
The national Co-Presidents will meet with you periodically to answer any questions and help you along the process of forming a chapter!
Find a faculty member or graduate student willing to become the advisor for your organization.
Assemble an E-board consisting of at least: a President (or 2 Co-Presidents, no Vice Presidents), a Secretary, a Treasurer, and a Social Media Chair. There are additional recommended positions which the Co-Presidents will discuss with you in your meeting.
Write a constitution for NAAMA NextGen – this will highlight the premise of the organization
Become affiliated with your academic institution
Make sure that you and your E-board complete student officer training, if needed
Allow time for organization approval
Begin to recruit new members while awaiting approval
Once approved, host your first event!
Stay connected by attending team meetings, through the website, and engaging with national events!
